Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

Welcome to PrettyURL (prettyurl.app). By using our website, dynamic link shorteners, API gateways, workspace services, or dashboard metrics consoles, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please review these terms carefully before deploying links or utilizing our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any part of the PrettyURL website or redirection services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from utilizing our platforms, dynamic namespaces, or metrics tracking portals.

2. Permitted User Conduct & Redirect Policies

PrettyURL serves as a secure transit routing system for digital creators and marketers. You agree to use the services solely for lawful purposes. You are strictly responsible for all target destinations associated with shortened URLs created under your registered workspaces or anonymous sessions.

Strictly Prohibited Target Content:

  • Malicious Code & Software: Redirection to pages that initiate automatic downloads of malware, spyware, trojans, ransomware, or any virus vector.
  • Phishing & Social Engineering: Creating redirect paths that impersonate banks, financial institutions, SaaS applications, email providers, or government portals with the intent to steal credentials or sensitive personal keys.
  • Illegal Activities: Links routing to marketplaces for illegal substances, unlicensed weapons, or activities promoting financial fraud or money laundering.
  • Spam & Blocked Vectors: Distributing shortened links in unauthorized email blasts, unsolicited SMS arrays, or social media spam bots that violate the hosting network’s policy standards.

3. Automated Link Filtering and Abuse Audit

To protect our systems, maintain our secure domain reputations (such as check-the.link, visit-this.link, and click-this.link), and ensure programmatic compliance for our ad partners, PrettyURL employs real-time, automated auditing software:

  • Our secure routing engine filters destination URLs, blocking loopbacks, internal IPs, spam vectors, and known malicious address databases (such as Google Safe Browsing and Spamhaus).
  • We reserve the absolute right to temporarily disable, lock, or permanently delete any shortened link that triggers a security warning or is flagged for containing illegal redirect targets.
  • Accounts repeatedly attempting to generate spam or phishing redirection slugs will be terminated immediately, and their active workspaces will be deleted without eligibility for refund.

4. Account Registration and Workspace Subscriptions

To access advanced visual analytics charts, deploy branded namespaces, and manage multiple projects, users must create a PrettyURL account. You agree to maintain the security of your password and credentials.

Our premium SaaS pricing (such as the Pro Creator tier) is billed on a recurring monthly subscription basis via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time within your billing settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with our billing policy.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

PrettyURL provides redirect routing, analytics dashboards, and dynamic QR systems on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that link resolution will be 100% uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all web browsers. We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary server downtime, API connection blocks, or account suspension due to compliance audits.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PrettyURL, its directors, developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, reputation, or ad revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the redirection routing platform.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PrettyURL is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the designated courts.
